Hello there!
This is a channel that will cover all things science, anything from Zoology, Paleontology and even astronomy!
I hope that with these videos, I can inspire new generations of people to be interested and engaged in these topics and that people both young and old can get something out of them.
If I ever say something in one of my videos that is inaccurate or false, be sure to correct me.

All 17 Tuna Species - A Comprehensive Coverage
As I’ve discussed on the channel here before, Tuna are some of the ocean's most amazing predators, and ones that often go overlooked, given so many of us routinely eat them out of small cans, which has given the impression that these animals are pretty small, sardine sized even, when that could not be further from the case.
Atlantic bluefins for example can weigh around 250 kilograms, though the largest of them can get up to an astonishing 684 kilograms, bigger than a typical cow, and nearly as much as 10 whole people. Of course, Tuna aren’t just limited to these massive animals, as there are also a range of smaller and also very interesting species that often go uncommented on. So, to rectify that, I’ll be covering all of the known Tuna species here in this video so all of this information is in one place, and with around 17 in total to go over, there’s a lot of ground, or in this case, water, to cover. I hope you enjoy.

Alienacanthus - The Fish with the Ultimate Underbites
Переглядів 9 тис.2 місяці тому
With powerful shearing jaws and armoured faces that really stand out amongst other fish both of the time they were around and today, placoderms are some of the paleozoic's most iconic animals, and for good reason. One of these animals is the very bizarre Alienacanthus, their name meaning alien spine, are animals that have recently undergone quite the drastic change in terms of how we perceive t...
Brachiosuchus - The Crocodiles That Didn't Skip Arm Day
Переглядів 30 тис.3 місяці тому
Crocodilians today are seen as quite a stable group evolutionary, not having changed too much overall since the time of the dinosaurs. This statement though does have some issues, not just in how it often glosses over how diverse the group is today, but also as to how different many of their relatives were in the past. There are a ton of these animals to discuss, so I’ll be covering a ton more ...
Timorebestia - The Giant Cambrian Worms

Cambrian ecosystems over 500 million years ago were the first time where large multicellular life on earth came to prominence, and with all of the diversity of the time, it figures that all these millions of years later we’d still be finding many new animals to this day, and that has indeed continued to be the case. One of these animals described recently is Timorebestia koprii, their name mean...

New Zealand is most well-known wildlife-wise from its birds, and they’re indeed worth appreciating and amazing to learn about, with so many groups being found nowhere else. This does however track to other, less immediately impressive animals though, and that includes insects. Animals like the giant weta, many species of spiders, flies and bees are all astounding in their own right, one of thes...

I have caught yellowfin, pacific bluefin, albacore and skipjack, and hooked and lost a tuna that was either a bigeye or bluefin, since another one from the same hookup stop was a 115lb bluefin
Was the david levy who took the bigeye picture, the same david levy who is famous for co discovering the shoemaker-levy 9 comet, and several others?
Actually i think the most expensive bluefin have come close to or exceed 2 million dollars
Man I Love Fish
I love chewnah
Do dogtooth tuna not count?
Great video, well worth the watch.
Thanks a bunch! I’m glad it’s finally out now for you all to watch :)
"We're gonna need a bigger boat"
Imagine walking onto the north island or south island 1,000 years ago before any human ever went there. I cannot imagine how amazingly beautiful it would've been.
I love the moon-ah And the tuna In the June-ah
Liberal Leftists when an animal goes extinct because of white people: 😱 😡 Those same people when non white people eradicate an animal into extinction: 😊 Cold Truth.
I gotta correct you there - Little Tunny are not Bonito. The other name for Little Tunny is actually Bonita. Lots of people get Bonito and Bonita mixed up, or aren't aware that they're different species. The Atlantic Bonito is a prized game fish, with delicious meat. Awesome video though! I'm sending this to some of my fishing buddies so they can get learnt on tunas.
This was an excellent video, i wasn't aware of most of these species but I'm really happy to have learned about them. Thank you for the video and it was well worth the wait.
Bored after 20/30 seconds monotone
Sending this to my girlfriend with “babe new fish lore video dropped”
How interesting! I had no idea that there were so many kinds of tuna. Your content is always worth the wait.
I was fortunate enough to catch 42 Giant Bluefin Tuna on rod and reel ( all over 400lbs ) in South Africa, with the biggest still an all Africa record to this day ..1047 lbs....I also held the world all tackle record for longfin tuna ( 72 lbs ) for several years....I also owned the only tuna cannery in South Africa, canning, Albecore, yellowfin and skipjack.. .
watching this while eating tuna
Ah, the real chickens of the sea (oooold "meme")
Over the past few years the numbers of Southern Bluefin off the coast of Victoria AU has never been better. Quota Regulations has definitely seen a huge increase in the numbers & size many close to & over 100kg.
Just what I needed. Really fascinating...and delicious. Keep at it mate!
"Chewna" lmaooo
I wonder how he says guitar tuner😂
Fishi :) 🐟
you know what that means F I S H
I guess I'm now educated on the species of Tuna! Most I had heard of, some I hadn't, especially when it came to the smaller species. What surprised me was the almost mackerel-like stripey patterns on a lot of their backs. Do tuna have any genetic relation to Mackerel? Or is it meremly another example of convergent evolution?
Yass
Do bonito count as tuna?
Watching this video made me hungry. Is there something wrong with me?
Didn't think I'd find myself watching a half hour video on tuna but I'm totally hooked (pun intended).
What's the difference between a guitar and a fish?
You can tune a guitar. 😂
@@preston74 But you can't Tuna fish!
Thank you for this delicious information. Answered my question- "is that a tuna?"
Tuna
17 seconds in and I get the impression this is made for morons. Who the hell would think Tuna are small fish? Only a total bloody idiot, that's who.
Thunninae is a subfamily of spiny-rayed fish belonging to the family Scombridae, it includes both the tunas (tribe Thunnini) and bonitos (tribe Sardini).
Epic! Tuna are awesome 🐟 A lot of cool species
That's a lot of different tuni 😄
I remember when I first learnt how big yellowfin were when I was a kid, then a couple of years later how much bigger bluefin were! 😳 Tuna have started returning to UK waters the last few years after being completely gone for decades 😃
WWD is my whole childhood. Starting in the 2010s, I started looking forward to the WWD remake. After nearly 15 years, my wish has finally come true.
I really loved this video, and I hope you do more like it! Though I have now picked up an echolalia for “chewna”
I hate you for this, please consider banishing yourself to the shadow realm
helllllll yeaahhh tell me about them fishy Bois
Stop DA TUNA
You are better than good. Thank you for all of your work.
Babe wake up the tuna comprehensive dropped
Man, such a shame that Nova Scotia gets represented by such a doofus in the video. I swear, we don't all look like that. :P
nerd
Great video bud! Been looking forward to this one for a while!!
Some of the most specialized and sophisticated predators out there between all their hydrodynamic features and their cooperative hunting.
Hey Henry The PaleoGuy, Why don't you get to think of a suggestion and creating a UA-cam Videos all about a Prehistoric Marine Reptile called the Palaeophis, the Extinct Marine Snake that are the relatives to the Extant File Snakes coming up next?!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍👍
Feesh
Why the long break😢
Explained in the description.
